Little Master: Smartron srtphone is a reflection of the man himself
We are living in times when an accomplished sportsperson like Sania Mirza gets massively trolled for endorsing the OnePlus 3T from an iPhone Twitter app! Virat Kohli endorses everything from suitcases to 'soda water' to a chain of gyms and everything else in between. It's not very often that a brand really achieves a cosy relationship between the persona of the brand ambassador and the character of the brand itself. However, one brand has managed this.
Hyderabad-based smart phone and IoT company, Smartron has recently launched its latest device -- the srt phone. The company claims that the device is inspired by Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. The makers have spent quality time discussing with Sachin (who is an investor in Smartron) before arriving at the specs and performance of the phone. The result is a small phone with big performance under the hood!
It is entirely made in India and comes with capabilities like Quick Charge, dual SIM VoLTE, fingerprint unlock in 0.09 seconds, and NFC features. The phone is a 5.5-inch device powered by the Qualcomm 652 processor. With a 13MP back camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and a 5MP front camera that is optimised for low-light performance, the phone is small and sleek, fitting snugly in your palm. The back panel comes with engraved images of Tendulkar.
Two features stand out: One, the phone releases a larger proportion of memory to the user by keeping the operating software very thin. Secondly, it sharply reduces the radiation levels on the SAR scale from a typical 1.0 to 1.6 Watts per Kg to something like 0.6. So, less heating.
Like other Smartron devices, the srtphone offers things like the tronx cloud platform and unlimited cloud storage.
Buyers are being offered a rebate of Rs 1,500 on the price of Rs 12,999 (32GB storage model) and Rs 13,999 (64GB). The srtphone is available exclusively on Flipkart.
