Global Citizen Festival’s CEO Huge Evans recently said that they plan on launching a new app within the next few weeks.
‘We are launching an app in some weeks where anyone can take part in the movement and also earn some rewards,’ he said.
Evans believes that merely talking about the problems will not bring about a global change. It is essential that people actively take part in major initiatives and what better way than making it accessible through the means of an app.
‘Once we launch the app, it would be more accessible to people who want to contribute for our movement to end extreme poverty by 2030,’ he added.
The Global Citizen Festival India is scheduled to consist of a wide variety of events in the future. All the way from grassroots activism, media campaigning to online activation, India’s 15 year journey towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals will be successfully attained if followed as planned. Chris Martin is the current creative director of the event and he wishes to fulfil this role in the next 15 years.
