Apple's Live Photos is coming to the web for the first time through Tumblr.
The micro-blogging website recently announced that it is adding support for Live Photos on its website.
Apple introduced the concept of Live Photos last year wherein, pictures would play like live moments when your press on it. Initially, they were only available on smartphones. However, Live Photos slowly started appearing on Facebook, as well. Despite all this, there was never a universal establishment of these on the web such as memes or GIFs.
Tumblr is about to change that. The micro-blogging website recently announced that it is adding support for Live Photos on its website. Additionally, Tumblr has also published its back-end code on GitHub, which will allow other web developers to build support for Live Photos on their own sites as well.
