It doesn’t come across as a surprise that there’s a movie being made on the most-talked-about franchise. It is quite easy to see this coming especially given its increasing popularity and now its finally official that a movie is set to be based on Pokemon.
While, Universe Pictures will be the official distributor of the movie in markets outside of Japan; the original rights of the movie have been bought by Legendary Pictures. It is said to be focused on the most recognizable character, Pikachu.
The production of the movie will begin in 2017. Legendary Pictures are applying conscious effort into fast – tracking the usual process so that they could stay in lines with the Pokemon Go frenzy that seems to have overtaken the mass at the moment.
This is the first time the Pokemon series will be seen venturing into the genre of live-action movies. This certainly is exciting for all Pokemon lovers, isn’t it?
