Nokia 8 listed for pre-order, could be fake

Nokia 8, which has been the rumoured flagship for the Finnish company, has been spotted on a Chinese online re-seller

HMD Global may be planning to announce four new smartphones at the MWC 2017, scheduled to be held from Feb 25 in Barcelona, which includes the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and the Nokia 6 (which was only launched in China), and a new version of the much acclaimed Nokia 3310 feature phone.

According to reports, the Nokia 8 which has been the rumoured flagship for the Finnish company, has been spotted on a Chinese online re-seller ‘Jingdong’ and Hong Kong based re-seller named ‘smartd boutir’, which hints towards the possible launch of the said smartphone soon and there are strong possibilities that HMD Global might spill some beans on the Nokia 8 as well, along with other handsets during MWC 2017.

The Nokia 8 smartphone is listed for pre-order on Jingdong at a price tag of CNY 3,188 which is approximately Rs 31,033. This listing is however from a third party seller, named GIT communication digital flagship store. On the other hand, the Hong Kong based re-seller has already started accepting the booking at a hefty price of HKD 5999, which is approximately Rs 51,744.

However, in a new update, the listing of Nokia 8 might be fake and has asked website users not to fall for this trap. But there is no official confirmation so we suggest to take this report with a grain of salt.
