MSI has entered into the professional laptop category by announcing the PS42. The first laptop in the Prestige series will be made for professionals as well as women. Featuring a fingerprint sensor for security, NVIDIA GeForce discrete graphics, and up to 8th Gen. Intel Core i7 processor, MSI claims that the PS42 is a mix of performance and design. Apart from this, MSI has also announced its new gaming laptop, the GF63 at the flag-off event of Taiwan Excellence Gaming Rig.
These laptops are designed for gamers and professionals respectively and both models feature thin bezel design. The near edge-to-edge aesthetics are not only lighter in weight but also smaller in dimension. In addition, the improved battery life delivers much longer working-hours and provides convenience in portable usage, even gaming. Together with the previously-announced GS65, MSI claims they have set a standard for portability with the “Thin Bezel Gaming” genre.
The GF63 features a 15.6-inch footprint and thin bezels and weighs less than 2kgs. The GF63 comes with an 8th Gen. Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics, and MSI claims that the battery lasts for over 7 hours. This laptop can be considered as a lite version of GS65.
MSI has added a brushed aluminium cover with their signature red dragon shield and an asymmetric dual-pattern underneath. MSI claims that with their optimisation of the MSI Dragon Center 2.0, the GF63 helps in enhancing the gaming experience.
The PS42 features a silver aesthetic and since it is from the “Prestige” Series, the laptop represents a unique existence among MSI gaming lineups. The laptop comes with an incredibly slim chassis, weighing 1.19 kgs and 15.9mm in height, along with over 10 hours of battery life. MSI claims that the thin bezel along the display plays an important role in achieving such a portable form factor. The laptop features a fingerprint sensor for security, NVIDIA GeForce discrete graphics, and up to 8th Gen. Intel Core i7 processor....
