After Mi TV 4, is Xiaomi launching a new headphone?

Xiaomi had launched its Mi Headphones back in 2015.

Last week, Xiaomi was busy showing off 2018’s first Redmi smartphones with latest features. The Chinese tech giant also globally announced the world's first thinnest LED smart TV in India along with the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro. It seems that the company is now gearing up to launch a new pair of headphones soon, according to a teaser released on its social platform.

Xiaomi had launched its Mi Headphones back in 2015, so a successor is long overdue. The headphones cost around $80 (approximately Rs 5,000).

The company has teased the release of the new accessory on Twitter. The tweet doesn’t reveal anything about the new product but includes a photo — where a guy is seen wearing golden coloured headphones with the caption saying "Are you ready to get in the zone with #Xiaomi?"

It appears that this headset will be successor to the Mi headphones launched earlier in 2015. As of now, the company has not revealed any pricing or availability, leading us to presume that the upcoming headphones might be priced in the same range as the previous Mi Headphones.
