Google Earth VR launched on Steam store
Virtual reality has taken the market by a storm. Leading technology companies are continuously working on ways on bringing the virtual reality experience on their platforms for users. Now imagine experiencing destinations like the great Amazon river, the beautiful Manhattan skyline, the Grand Canyon and other such exciting destinations at the comfort of your home. This has now been made possible by Google.
Tech giant Google recently announced the launch of their much-anticipated Google Earth VR platform on HTC Vive. This platform provides users with the ability to explore major destinations on earth via virtual reality technology.
Google Earth VR is free to play via Steam and while an HTC Vive is required for now, the app will support other VR platforms by next year. The system requirements for availing this experience are quite basic. Users need either Windows 7 or a later PC with at least an Intel Core i5-6500 processor equivalent or higher, 8GB RAM and at least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 Fury.
