Google has rolled out a new state-specific voting guide for users who search voting related queries. Google then explains the voting process in user’s state, with complete information on early voting, mail-in ballots, requirements and deadlines. There's also a drop-down menu that allows users to toggle among states.
Google says, millions of users have used the tool and searches for voter registration information are up 190 percent nationwide compared to the searches four years ago.
Google is making its "how to vote" and "voter registration" searches available to the public, "so nonprofits and organizations promoting voter education can benefit and expand the reach of this critical information," the company says.
