Xerox showcases its best at PrintExpo 2016
The PrintExpo 2016, which took place between the 12th and 14th of this month at the Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, had much more to offer than anyone could have expected. Among the many who managed to steal the show, Xerox was undoubtedly one of the best. They showcased a wide range of high-powered digital presses including Xerox Versant™ 2100 Digital Press, Xerox Color C70, Xerox Versant 80 and Xerox Wide Format 6705 among other products.
Commenting at the event, Mr. Balaji Rajagopalan, Executive Director, Technology, Channels & International Relations said, “PrintExpo has served us as a great platform in the region, to showcase our fleet of devices, which echoes the technology innovation that Xerox is recognized for. We have been associated with PrintExpo since its inception eight years ago!”
Key Xerox products showcased at the event:
Versant™ 2100 Digital Press
This product is equipped with a new compact belt fuser and receives support from 52-350 gsm, auto-perfecting all weights. It even automates color control and creates image-to-media alignment profiles, thereby, delivering brand-managed color in less time. It maintains tight registration throughout the press and produces smooth sweeps, gradients and sharp images.
Xerox Color C70
Xerox Color C70 offers the widest range of applications in this market space. The power consumption of its scanner using LED lighting is 1/3rd of traditional scanners using fluorescent lights. Its Heat-efficient IH fuser does not require preheating, which helps reduce power consumption in standby mode by 44% compared to a resistance heating device.
Versant 80
With an Ultra HD Resolution of 1200 x 1200 x 10-bit RIP rendering, it gives 4X more pixels than the Press standard of 600 x 600. It delivers fiery ultra smooth gradients, leveraging 10-bit architecture with proprietary EFI processing for stunning smooth vector gradients.
“This also gave us the opportunity to reinforce our focus on the southern market in India wherein we have witnessed significant growth in segments like photo-printing, book publishing etc. This further encouraged us to constantly innovate and introduce new technologies. This region continues to contribute over 33% to Xerox India business,” Rajagopalan concluded.
