YouTube launches Community tab to add texts, GIFs to channels
YouTube on September 13 launched a list of new features under its Community tab which will allow users to add text, live videos, animated GIFs and images to channels.
“The community tab on YouTube channel gives you a new, simple way to engage with your viewer and express yourself beyond video,” reads YouTube blog.
These features will first be made available to a small group of video creators, from John & Hank Green, to AsapSCIENCE, The Game Theorists, Karmin, The Key of Awesome, The Kloons, Lilly Singh, Peter Hollens, Rosianna Halse Rojas, Sam Tsui, Threadbanger, and VSauce3.
YouTube will roll out these features beyond the test group in the coming months.
“Community is a special release for us because it represents the deepest product collaboration we've ever done with creators like you,” said YouTube.
