Facebook Messenger’s latest feature includes ‘Rooms’ that lets groups chat publicly about different subjects and events. As reported by TechCrunch, this feature was discovered buried in Messenger’s source code.
The code even contained details regarding how users can use the feature’s functions. “Introducing rooms. Rooms are for public conversations about topics and interests. Each room has a link that can be shared so anyone on Messenger can join the conversation,” suggested the code. Users can apparently join these ‘rooms,’ chat with friends as well as strangers and get other people to join is as well.
“When we asked Facebook if it was building a Messenger Rooms feature, the company told us “We don’t have any comment on this speculation,” reported TechCrunch.
