After about 12,000 tweets and retweets went up on speaking about Dorothy, a girl who used her smart fridge to tweet through her fan-page, even Twitter stepped into the matter and brought about the #FreeDorothy tag.
The story began a few days ago on August 5 when 15 year old Dorothy, who runs a Twitter fan page for singer Arianna Grande, made her mother upset. Deciding to ground the kid who was spending too much time on the phone because of her Twitter addiction, Dorothy’s mother took away her iPhone.
Dorothy however, was not going to give up so soon. In a battle of both wit and will, the girl used her Nintendo Wii U to tweet, and after even that got confiscated on August 8, she took to her Nintendo 3DS.
Her mother confiscated all three gadgets eventually. A desperate Dorothy took to the family’s smart refrigerator to tweet a heartfelt message to her thousands of followers.

LG has since confirmed that this is not fake and the refrigerator in use has the capabilities to tweet.
