First off, Facebook persuaded users to update status, and then came the pictures and videos. And soon the social networking giant may feature virtual reality.
During an hour-long live video Q&A session with fans, Zuckerberg said, ‘You’re going to just be able to capture a thought, what you’re thinking or feeling in kind of its ideal and perfect form in your head, and be able to share that with the world in a format where they can get that.’
In the session, held on June 14, Zuckerberg was taking questions live from his fans, as a part of demo from Facebook’s live video feature. He addressed his fans live from his office, and was later accompanied by the comedian Jerry Seinfeld.
The first question that appeared during the session was whether Facebook can provide users with a service, like a folder that can be used to store content online. To which, Zuckerberg retorted that he wants to create spaces and tools that enable sharing everything users care about, with people—groups, or everyone users care about.
In reply to an allegation—on being a lizard, he replied, ‘I’m going to have to go with no, I’m not a lizard.’
Zuckerberg also spoke about artificial intelligence; he mentioned that the company is already working on a feature that would provide the disabled as well as those people who have hearing impairment, to engage with the Facebook.
Besides it, Zuckerberg also talked about the company working on improving Live Videos streaming for users, and encouraged its users to engage more in Live videos.
In reply to an Indian Fan, he said that he would like to build up a startup around mobile apps, instead of websites. Pointing out, apps usage among people, he said that in today’s world users use apps more than full-fledged websites, and apps make it really easy for the users to complete tasks.
