Moto G4 to launch on May 17, here is all you need to know
Mumbai: Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to launch the highly anticipated Moto G4 in India on May 17. While there has been countless speculations regarding the device’s offerings, a new leak has revealed that the handset will accompany an octa-core processor and 3GB RAM.
The new leak on PriceRaja.com showed a recent GeekBench listing, which pointed out that the device will be powered by an octa-core processor and 3GB RAM. Other than that, the leak also suggested that the smartphone will run on an Android Marshmallow OS.
While clock speed details were not revealed by the leak, the motherboard ‘msm8952’ name suggested that the device will accompany a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC.
As mentioned before, there have been loads of speculations and rumours doing rounds on social media networks but nothing has been appropriately confirmed by the company.

As per earlier reports, the G4 will be launched in two variants; a regular one and the G4 Plus. The G4 Plus is speculated to have a square-shaped home button that doubles up as the fingerprint sensor, making it the first moto phone to incorporate the technology. Rumours also indicate that the device will employ a better camera, and improved battery life.
Coming to the specifications, the Moto G4 will come in two variants; one with a QC 430 SoC along with 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. The other one will have enhanced specs with a QC 617 SoC with 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
The smartphone will come along with a 13MP primary camera setup and 5MP secondary snapper. Also, the handset is expected to offer dual SIM slots along with a battery capacity of 3,200mAh. In terms of display, the G4 will feature a large 5.2-inch HD screen.
