WhatsApp's new feature now lets you remove annoying group admins
Facebook-owned WhatsApp is working on a new feature that lets users 'dismiss an admin' of a Group chat, in which you are also an admin.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing the feature for both Android and iOS. The feature is already available to Android beta users who are running Android 2.18.12 version.
The new feature will be visible in group chats that will allow any admin to 'dismiss' other admin without eliminating them from the group and then adding them again. Users can long press the contact from Group info page to dismiss an admin. Interestingly, the person currently who is an admin will not be notified if dismissed from the group.
Besides, WhatsApp is also likely to add a new feature to its app that will offer the group administrators more power where they will be allowed to restrict all the members in the group from sending text messages or sharing pictures, videos, documents, GIFs etc.
