Twitter to roll out new 'tweetstorm' feature soon
It seems that the admission of 280 characters was just not enough for some people as Twitter has now rolled out yet another feature by the name of ‘threads’ that will make it easier for users to create a bunch of connected tweets at one time. Previously known as tweetstorm, users are now given the ability to create long strings of messages in a single tweet.
The new feature will allow users to compose a thread of multiple tweets with a new ‘+’ option that allows you to link more than one tweet at a time. In addition to that, the update also brings a "show all" button for tweets in a thread, making easier to read. The new feature will be rolled out soon on both iPhone and Android versions of the Twitter app and the web.
The move follows an earlier test of the feature, which lets users compose several tweets at a time before posting them sequentially in a string.
Prior to this, the social media giant had increased the longstanding 140 character limit on the messages to 280 characters.
