Apple Watch stocks deplete ahead of September upgrade
The Apple Watch released in April 2015 has been speculated to get a massive overhaul this fall, as stocks of the current variant continue to drain rapidly.
According to a 9to5Mac report, the most of the current Apple Watch variants on Apple’s online store were marked as ‘sold out’ as stocks kept on depleting over the past few weeks.
Surprisingly, some of the new variants introduced with new nylon bands were also marked sold out. While some of them are available in scattered locations most of the current models with updated bands seem to be disappearing quickly.
Even in case of other variants such as the stainless steel and Hermes, the stocks have been diminishing quickly. And rumours about the Apple Watch 2 releasing in September along with the new iPhone indicated that the company definitely won’t be updating the old variants soon.
According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the updated version, referred to as the Apple Watch 2, will feature a GPS radio and a barometer for improved geo-location capabilities.
So if you were looking to buy the Apple Watch, you should consider waiting till the launch event in September. The new variant would come with numerous new updates and the earlier variant might be discounted heavily.
