Dubai's World Drone Prix has already attracted big investments from NFL team owners and is considered as one of the biggest events this year. The event took place on March 11 and 12 at Skydive Dubai, UAE and the gates were thrown open to the world. The Drone Prix saw 32 best pilots as participants from around the world at the Dubai 2016 Aerial Track, which is one of the firs to its kind.

A total of $1 million in cash prizes was handed out with the 1st prize winner taking a whopping $250,000 home. This was bagged by 15-year-old Luke Bannister who piloted his drone to victory. He steered his camera-mounted drone through a series of illuminated hoops. Each drone is piloted using special headsets which transmit the video to the controller and he sees the drone flying as a first person.
