Now follow hashtags and not just people on Instagram
If you find yourself continuously looking for specific pages or things on Instagram, worry no more. Instagram is rolling out a new feature that will enable users to follow the hashtags.
With the latest update, users will be able to follow the hashtags. As Instagram explains, following a hashtag is just like a following a friend: just search for a topic that fascinates you and tap any hastag that is visible, and on top of the results page, you will see a follow button.
If you follow a specific hashtag, you will see relevant posts from the same hashtag in your feed and the Stories bar. Users can also unfollow these hashtags if they don’t find them relevant anymore.
You will also be able to see all the hashtags your friends follow just like how you can see which accounts they follow. However, Instagram reassures us that you can change your privacy settings to make sure only your followers are able to see those lists.
This new feature is already rolling out for the Android app and users can download it from the link.
