Google Allo is officially dead

If you have been using the app, you still have the chance to export your chats.

Google’s smart messaging app, Allo, is finally shutting down. Starting Tuesday, you will no longer be able to use the app for an exchange of smart replies.

The app's help page reads, “We’re saying goodbye to Allo on March 12, 2019.” If you have been using the app, you still have the chance to export your chats.

Launched in 2016, Allo was launched alongside the video chat service Duo. While Duo kicked off, Allo didn’t make it big with the masses.

Allo as a standalone app is officially dead but Google is integrating the Smart Reply and GIFs into Messages.
