FreeCharge announces 100 per cent cashback on 100,000 merchants

FreeCharge has announced a 2 day cashback bonanza for consumers across its merchant network. The sale is live on 11th and 12th of December 2016 and aims at promoting the usage of digital payment methods in the wake of the government’s move to incentivize cashless transactions.

A user can garner a flat 100 per cent cashback for 2 transactions per day by paying through his FreeCharge wallet, with a cap of Rs 100 cashback per day. With this sale FreeCharge has become the only wallet to offer a flat 100 per cent cashback, while other players are offering up to 100 per cent cashback which essentially means 100 per cent cashback only for a limited set of merchants and a lower cashback percentage for others.

The offer will be in addition to all the existing offers being run by FreeCharge. In case of both existing and sale offer being applicable, the consumer will get the benefit associated with the superior offer. There is also an offer of flat cashback of Rs 20 on mobile recharges of Rs 20.

Consumers can avail this offer at merchants across categories like foodpanda, Domino’s, Swiggy, Zomato, Haldiram’s, Mcdonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Barista for Food; bookmyshow, ticketnew.com, Hungama music for entertainment; Hypercity, Snapdeal, Crossword, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, Vishal Mega Mart for shopping and redbus, goibibo, Meru, Jugnoo, OYO for travel.

To avail the offer, the payment should completely be made using the FreeCharge wallet. The offer is not applicable on payments made via QR code or send money option. The cashback will be credited within 24 hours, calculated on the net order amount post partial cancellations or refunds. The cashback will be credited in the form of e-voucher in the FreeCharge account which will be valid for a period of 6 months. The offer won’t be applicable for transactions on Helpchat and Irctc.
