Microsoft to bring VR to Windows 10

Microsoft is working to bring Virtual Reality in Windows 10 browser.

Microsoft recently confirmed that they have started working on WebVR support for the Edge browser. This will allow VR content to be played directly on to its app.

“Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve begun development on experimental WebVR support in Microsoft Edge! WebVR is the next frontier in web graphics, enabling developers to create a wide range of truly immersive experiences for a variety of devices,” posted Frank Olivier, Principal Program Manager Lead on the Microsoft blog.

Apart from that, Microsoft has been working on advancing the W3C WebVR specification along with Mozilla, Google, Oculus and others to ensure that web developers have a faster, more powerful tool to make this vision come true.

The new project is still in its early days and it will take a while for users to get used to it. Insiders in the company will naturally obtain first access to WebVR support.
