Customers can now have photographs printed on Corning Gorilla Glass

Corning Incorporated has announced the introduction of MASTERPIX fine glass prints.

Corning Incorporated has announced the introduction of MASTERPIX fine glass prints featuring Corning Gorilla Glass to the Indian market. Gorilla Glass has been used as a cover glass on 4.5 billion electronic devices around the world, and now the tough, damage-resistant glass that helps protect your phones and tablets is available in India to help preserve your most cherished moments.

MASTERPIX prints photos on thin, durable Gorilla Glass using UV-cured inks to create vibrant, colourful glass prints that are also scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and easy to clean. MASTERPIX was well received when it launched in the US in 2014 and has been recognized by an industry expert for its archival quality prints.

“We are excited to launch MASTERPIX in India,” said Amit Bansal, president, Corning India. “Consumers in the region can now have stunning photographs that will last more than a lifetime printed on optically clear, stain-resistant Gorilla Glass.”

MASTERPIX adds value to consumers, wedding planners, photographers, high-end printers, art curators, architects and interior designers. MASTERPIX prints can be given as gifts for weddings, retirements and graduations. They can also be used as business cards.

“Gorilla Glass was initially used as a cover glass to help protect electronic devices,” said Pradeepak Malvai, commercial director, New Emerging Business, Corning India. “Now we use it to preserve your most cherished photographs. MASTERPIX is another example of Corning pursuing a new market for an existing product.”

MASTERPIX fine glass prints can be displayed in a table top stand, mounted to a wall, or placed in a standard picture frame. MASTERPIX prints come in six different sizes ranging from 4 inches by 6 inches to 55 inches by 48 inches, and two glass finishes - glossy and matte.
