Demonetisation aftermath: Secure apps to make online payments

Here's a look at some such payment apps which can help you in the crisis with complete security.

Keeping up pace in this digital world is becoming difficult day-by-day, and with demonetisation shaking up our bank balances, we can do nothing but dive in the digital wave.

Security is always an issue when you are online, but with these payment apps which are UPI led, one doesn't need to worry about that anymore!

Here's a look at some such payment apps which can help you in the crisis with complete security:

Chillr: It is a Mobile Banking app for all Banks. Chillr has tied-up with major banks in the country to roll out UPI-based payments not only for peer-to-peer settlements but also for merchant transactions.

It links directly to one's bank account and allows superfast money transfers, recharges and bill payments directly from the account. Chillr's USP is its strong partnerships with India's leading and most trusted banks, deep integrations and a core focus on a superior seamless user experience.

PhonePe: This one is a digital payments app that aims to make payments easy, safe and universally accepted that people never feel the need to carry cash or cards again. It is a UPI app developed by Flipkart which is meant to provide all the features of a modern digital wallet directly using UPI.

TruPay: With Trupay UPI, users and merchants can create their virtual payment address and users can send money directly from their bank account into the merchants' bank account with a tap on their mobile phone. Trupay is a common app for all banks instead of having to use UPI in different banking apps.

Freecharge: This service had integrated in partnership with Axis Bank for UPI in July last year. FreeCharge users are allowed to load money into their wallets through the UPI option which will be powered by Axis Bank's SDK.

PayU: It also allows its merchants to accept payments directly into their bank account through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). It has partnered with Axis Bank for the same.
