OurMine' group strikes again; hacks Twitter CEO's account
Mumbai: Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account was hacked briefly on Saturday by a group which previously claimed responsibility for hacking the social media accounts of Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg and Google boss Sundar Pichai.
According to an Endgaget report, the group that goes by the name ‘OurMine’ has been responsible for a number of celebrity Twitter handle hacks in the past.
However, the group isn’t malicious as most other cyber-attackers; it sent out a Tweet at 12.20 PM yesterday suggesting they were testing a security feature along with a link to their website. The tweet which was linked to a Vine video clip was deleted soon after.
As mentioned above, the group had previously hacked the social media accounts of other celebrated personalities by exploiting discrepancies or flaws in their social media handles.
But it seems that the group is trying to point out flaws through which social media accounts can be hacked and what better way than to hack the accounts of prominent personalities.
All the accounts that were previously hacked had flaws that most people tend to ignore and this will surely make them more cautious while dealing with their social media handles.
With increasing number of social media hacking instances, users should be really careful about their accounts and passwords.
