Say goodbye to millions of apps from Google Play Store

Google has reportedly started sending notices to several developers on the Google Play Store.

Search giant Google may soon remove millions of apps from the Play Store. The company has reportedly started sending notices to developers alerting them about their Data Policy. The notice informs the developers to either ‘limit visibility of their apps or completely remove them from the Play Store.

According to a report published by The Next Web, there are many developers that lack a privacy policy. Google goes a step forward and offers developers solutions to this issue as well.

As per the Google Data Policy, app developers are required to either include link to valid privacy policy in their store’s listing page or opt out of this requirement by removing any requests for permissions to access user data.

Google has provided a deadline to the app developers, stating that they must take the necessary action by March 15, 2017. If the app developers fail to comply, their apps visibility will automatically limited or even completely removed.
