After reported incidents of Galaxy Note 7(s) exploding all over the world, Samsung had went into damage control mode and started a massive recall of the Note 7 from consumers across the globe.
However, in recent incidents, the recall was proceeding as planned until this week when a Note 7, allegedly belonging to a replacement batch, caused evacuation on a Southwest flight.
Representatives from the South Korean company have stated that until they retrieve that particular device, they will be unable to confirm whether the Note 7 was directly involved in the incident.
The company has issued a second statement on the matter stating that, “Samsung understands the concern our carriers and consumers must be feeling after recent reports have raised questions about our newly released replacement Note 7 devices.” They further stated, “We will continue to move quickly to investigate the reported case to determine the cause and will share findings as soon as possible.”
