After cardboard, Google uses fabric for its VR headsets

Google's new VR headset Daydream View will now be available from October 20

After entering the augmented reality and virtual reality space with its low cost cardboard VR, Google has once again brought out its new VR headset. But this time it’s made out of fabric.

Google’s phone-powered virtual reality headset which was introduced last week will be available from the 20th of October. It is touted to support Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO content, along side Google Street view.

The Daydream View is made out of fabric and will be retailing at $79. Google executives have stated that they worked with clothing makers to design the headset to make it comfortable.

The remote allows users to swing their arm and click to interact with the virtual world, and tucks away easily into the front of the device when not in use.
