Time for a happ'ening party

This Christ University Alumnus has made clubbing easy for youngsters with his new app.

You want to go let your hair down at a party, but you’re not quite sure how to do it ‘cos you don’t have access to an ‘influential’ hot shot who can put you on the guest list. Disappointed, much? Fret not, ‘cos here’s an app that promises to get you into a happening gig which you’ve always dreamed of going too. Christ University alumnus Ayush Agarwal is launching an app called the ‘Clubbers’ using which party lovers can head to their favourite nightclub.

“When you have to put your name on the guest list, you need to know someone who can put you on it. So if I want to go clubbing, I want to open an app and see what place I can make a reservation at or buy a ticket,” says Ayush, who has been clubbing for nine years now.

“But the fact is that I didn’t find a single platform that allows me to view all night club events during the week, allowing me to either purchase the ticket, make a reservation or put my name on the guest list. Some websites show only ticketed events. Other sites show events but don’t allow you to make a reservation. I wanted to create a platform exclusive to night life only,” he explains.

Coming back to his app, Ayush reveals that it will be available on Android devices in two weeks and IOS in a month. He also reveals that he had to face skepticism when he reached out to venues, “They were hesitant as we were a start-up and did not have organic traffic. But, when I explained to them how it works, they slowly got on board.”

Though he admits that he was lucky enough to have a rich dad who funded his project, Ayush, who toiled hard to create this app has a bit of a Taare Zameen Par story that he shares. The entrepreneur studied in Bishop Cotton School until grade 5, where he was diagnosed with dyslexia.

“I then moved to Innisfree House School. I just want to tell all dyslexic students that they are special. They are capable of achieving greatness in a field they are good at, provided they are able to identify it.”
