How does a microwave oven work, heat food

A microwave is nothing great, but does some awesome magic to your food—heating it without fire. All it needs is electricity, which is used to generate powerful radio waves. These radio waves vibrate the water molecules within the food to create friction and heat or cook it. Inside the oven is a microwave vacuum tube, called a magnetron, which generates radio frequencies that cause the water in food to rotate back and forth.
