Six months later, Android Nougat still on 1 per cent of the devices

Google made an announcement, admitting that they have crossed the 1 per cent mark for Android Nougat.

Google launched the new and updated Android Nougat 2.0 nearly six months ago. Ever since the release of the update, major smartphone users awaited the arrival of the same in their respective devices. In what may have appeared to be a huge consumer base, Google recently made an announcement stating that the latest version has just crossed a mere 1 per cent mark.

The latest distribution numbers confirm that Android Nougat is running on 1.2 per cent of active devices with Android 7.0 Nougat only on 0.9 per cent of the devices and Android 7.1 on 0.3 per cent devices.

The Nougat share is expected to increase in the next few months as major smartphone makers make it available for their users. Some of these companies include Huawei, Sony, Motorola among others.

At the moment, Android Lollipop update has a total of 32.9 per cent share with Android KitKat holding a total of 21.9 per cent share.
