The partnership will enable employees to save Rs 12,000 per month through carpooling.

Quick Ride has announced a partnership with Candor TechSpace IT/ITES office space providers to facilitate carpooling services across five campuses in Gurugram, Noida and Kolkata. The partnership will allow approximately 100,000 employees across Candor TechSpace campuses to share vehicles with their colleagues or hitch a ride every day. This collaboration is aimed at driving a significant reduction in on-road traffic congestion, the cost of commute for employees, and reducing Carbon Footprint thus cutting on air pollution levels.

Candor TechSpace assets houses more than 20,000 employees in each of its campuses, with a majority using private vehicles or cab services for their daily commute. Through the strategic tie-up, Candor TechSpace & Quick Ride is creating awareness about the benefits of carpooling and how it can help to significantly mitigate on-road vehicular congestion and ever-increasing pollution levels. The development will also give professionals working in Candor TechSpace campuses-an opportunity to interact with each other on their way to/from the office, thus strengthening employee relations and organisational work culture.

Currently, most Indian cities are grappling with the burning issue of vehicular congestion which does not only add to air pollution but also reduces productivity. According to a report by The Boston Consulting Group, congestion costs in four of the largest cities in India – namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Kolkata – were estimated to be around USD 22 billion per year, with Kolkata topping the list as the country’s most congested city.

Through this partnership, Quick Ride aims at building a community of conscientious corporate citizens who are willing to contribute towards decongestion and reducing air pollution.
