Hacker builds QR code generator, helps him with free fancy airport lounges

Hacker creates a simple Android app that generates QR codes on the basis of fake credentials he inputs.

Przemek Jaroszewski, head of Poland-based, Computer Emergency Response Team created an Android app that produces a unique QR code each time he inputs fake credentials. Through the use of the former, he gains access to fancy airport lounges for free.

The reason why such a trick worked is because the automated readers at airport lounges do no cross-check information provided by the QR code of any device with the actual ticket information from airlines. This reflects a bad light on the part of the security system of airports.

Jaroszewski has tested his creation multiple times in majority of the airports around Europe without facing any failure in the same. He has no intentions of sharing it with others. Moreover, this does not also mean that one can simply gain access into the airport. He/She would still have to go through normal procedure taking place at the airport along with his/her boarding pass among other requirements.
