Tech giant Google made an announcement on Tuesday that 4K video was now officially available for users in Canada and US. The company has added support for watching 4K videos on iOS devices, via Chromecast on TV or on the Roku streaming box on select Smart TVs.
According to the post published by the company, Google Play Movies offers more than 125 movies in 4K resolution using VP9. Users can enjoy these movies in the highest quality. “You can purchase 4K movies in your Android devices or on the web and stream them on your Chromecast Ultra, Sony Bravia Android TV or your Xiaomi Mi Box 3,” the company posted on their blog.
