Chinese smartphone giant, OnePlus is planning on merging its global OxygenoS with its Chinese HydrogenOS.
In an interview with the XDA developers, OnePlus confirmed that it will be merging ROMs of both the operating systems, with both teams working together on the new operating system.
OnePlus believes that this move will result in better and faster software updates. It will also allow the company eliminate bugs and other issues in the OS. If rumours are to be believed, the Oxygen OS 3.5 will offer the first glimpse into the merged OS.
"The main benefit of combining our team resources is to speed up software updates. We know we have some room to continue improving there, and this is an important step in the right direction," said a company official to XDA....
