You don't have to wait in long lines to mend your cracked iPhone, here's why

\"We've been on a quest to expand our reach,\" said Brian Naumann, senior director of service operations at Apple.

Apple plans on installing its proprietary machine that is designed to fix cracked iPhone glasses in about 400 authorised third-party repair centres across 25 countries. If this turns out to be true, then iPhone users will no longer have to be waiting in long lines at the official Apple stores to mend their cracked displays.

The first recipients of this initiative are Minneapolis-based Best Buy, the company representative told Reuters. There is another one coming up in an outlet in Sunnyvale, California. The latest move made by Apple occurs after eight US states launched their “right to repair” bills primarily to open the controlled repair networks on the Cupertino tech-giant.

"We've been on a quest to expand our reach," said Brian Naumann, senior director of service operations at Apple.
