Google’s Play Store completed five years recently. To commemorate this moment, the search giant published a list of most popular apps and games on its Play Store.
The results aren’t surprising as such. The Facebook app took the first position, followed by Facebook Messenger and Pandora Radio. Photo-editing apps Instagram and Snapchat ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
What’s surprising is that WhatsApp didn’t make it to the top five list.
Alongside this, the company also released a list of most popular games with Candy Crush Saga topping the list followed by Subway Surfers, Temple Run 2, Despicable Me and Clash of Clans.
Google also shared a list of most popular movies, books and music. While the top movie is The Interview, the best selling book is Fifty Shades of Gray followed by The Hunger Games and A Song of Ice and Fire.
