Xiaomi today announced that it has shipped over 100 million smartphones in India in five years. This milestone has been achieved in the period starting Q3 2014 until July 2019 as per IDC 2019 reports.
This makes Xiaomi one of the fastest brands to achieve the 100 million mark, achieving the milestone within just five years of its existence. The Redmi A and the Redmi Note series have been two of the most popular smartphone series which have significantly contributed to this feat.
Xiaomi has been the leading smartphone brand in India for eight consecutive quarters, with a 28.31 per cent market share for Q2 2019 as per IDC. Redmi 6A and Redmi Note 7 Pro were the top two best-selling smartphones in the industry for Q2 2019.
