RJio 4G: How to get RJio SIM, data plans, phones and more
Last week, Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of his new teleco venture RJio, which spurred the world of other telecom operators in India. The company has slashed the rate of 4G data, from Rs 250 a GB prevailing in the market to as low as Rs 50 per GB.
After a trial period, Reliance has rolled out the RJio service to all. The network service will be available from September 5, 2016 and will last until December 31, 2016. The offer is now being rebranded as a “welcome offerâ€, aimed to provide free voice calls and no roaming charges.

How to get RJio SIM?
The process of procuring the SIM card is simple and quick. Customers can avail for the SIM card via eKYC (Know your Customer) process, which uses Aadhar card to verify customer's identity.
Customers will be required to fill up the Customer Application Form (CAF) with a couple of passport-size photographs to complete the process. After this, you will be required to choose a plan accordingly. Customers will receive their receipts on their email IDs as well as through an SMS. The company will finally verify the applicant's details via a phone call.
Of note, Reliance is providing these SIM card for free. There's no need to pay any money to dealer. Customers are only required having a 4G VoLTE supporting smartphone to avail the service.
RJio phones
RJio service requires a 4G-enabled phone with VoLTE technology. Thus, the service will not be available for phones which do not support 4G VoLTE connectivity. However, Reliance is offering its JioJoin app to bridge the gap.

A major beneficiary of the offer would be users of devices like iPhone, Xiaomi, Motorola and Lenovo who were not a part of the preview offer so far.
Nearly 20 brands including Sony, Sansui, Videocon, LG, Samsung, Micromax, Panasonic, Asus, TCL, Alcatel, HTC, Intex, Vivo, Gionee, Karbonn and Lava were part of the preview offer which provided free 90-day unlimited calls and high-speed mobile broadband trials to 4G smartphone users of these brands.
RJio data plans
The company has introduced 10 tariff plans beginning with a one-day plan at Rs 19 for occasional data users going all the way up to Rs 4,999 a month for heavy data users.
In the Rs 19 prepaid plan, users will get 100 MB data and 100 SMSes for a day, apart from unlimited free voice calling. The Rs 149 plan, available for both prepaid and postpaid users, will offer 300 MB data and 100 SMSes with a validity of about a month.
Under the Rs 4,999 plan, users will get 75GB of 4G data as well as unlimited 4G access at night for a period of 28 days or one month for prepaid and postpaid users, respectively.
Other plans would be available for Rs 129 (prepaid only), Rs 299 (prepaid only), Rs 499, Rs 999, Rs 1,499, Rs 2,499, and Rs 3,999.
RJio MNP
Reliance Jio is also allowing customers to port their existing number. To enable it, customers will need to send a text message PORT' followed by their 10-digit number to TRAI at 1900.
Reliance JioFi
Reliance JioFi is a 4G device with a built-in WiFi router and a battery, that will help connect more than one device in Jio's network. The device is available at a price of Rs 1,999.
RJio App
In addition, the Jio networking is also offering JionNet app that will allow users to Jio networks to WiFi hotspots, a video-on-demand app and a music streaming app, all for free until December 31.
