Yesterday, Facebook launched ‘Marketplace’ on its mobile app, and within hours users were seen selling guns, drugs, and other products that violates Facebook’s law.
The social media giant launched the platform, after looking at around 450 Facebook users who visit Facebook groups that have items to buy and sell each month. The feature allows people to buy and sell items locally.
The feature is available in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand. Though, Marketplace is available on Facebook’s mobile app, it will be rolled out to Facebook’s desktop version in the upcoming days, the company said in its blog post.
Facebook has confirmed about the issue, and has apologized for the same. The company has said it is working towards fixing the issue and will monitor the service manually to avoid and further glitch that violates Facebook policy.
