Windows 10 use on gaming platform declines

Statistics provided by Net Applications showcase a small decline in the Steam market share for Windows 10.

The figures for Windows 10’s gaming platform Steam have declined. According to web analytics firm Net Applications, Windows 10 has lost approximately 0.05 per cent on Steam, which is currently on a 48.9 per cent usage around the world.

This doesn’t come across as a surprise as Windows 10 was made unavailable as a free upgrade at the beginning of last month.

At the same time, the 64-bit version and the 32-bit version of Windows 8.1 experienced a growth of 0.09 per cent and 0.01 per cent respectively.

However, Windows 7 still continues to be the second most-used desktop operating system on Steam.
