Indian startup launches feature packed Blink' smartwatch
Banglore based startup Witworks, have launched a smartwatch dubbed as Blink for Rs 12,999. The smartwatch comes in stainless steel black and stainless steel silver colour options and runs on both iOS and Android platforms.
The smartwatch also doubles a fitness tracker and combines best elements from different smartwatches available in the market. The device borrows its looks from the Moto 360, featuring a stainless steel body with leather or stainless steel straps.
It features a 1.39-inch circular AMOLED display with 400x400 pixel resolution. The glass on the top is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 coating. It is powered by a 1.2GHz processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It offers Bluetooth connectivity and is fuelled by a 300mAh battery. It runs company’s own Marvin OS based on top of Android.
The Blink also serves as an authentication device to unlock user’s smartphones, just like the Apple Watch and Mi Band 2. It uses a mechanism that generates a 'time-based' one-type-password which changes every 60 seconds.
The company claims the Blink tracks all fitness activities with accuracy and houses a nine-axis-motion sensor. The smartwatch also has 8GB of internal storage that can store over 1000 songs.
The Timeline app on the Blink smartwatch notifies users about their events on the calendar, to-dos, reminders and alarms. This feature was earlier seen on Pebble’s Steel smartwatch.
