A pillow that streams music and tracks your sleep

Zeeq is a pillow that can stream music from its interior low enough for you to hear without waking up anyone else.

The Zeeq makes use of eight wireless speakers to play music from iTunes, Spotify and other ‘sleep tracks’ low enough for the user to hear it without waking anyone else.

You can track and optimize your sleep patterns, as well. Your sleep is essentially correlated with REM cycles to wake you up at a point when you’re not going to be as sleep upon waking up. Furthermore, it provides the option of adjusting your alarm accordingly. This may not sound like a new concept since there are numerous sleep cycle tracker apps or sleep apps in general already available to us. However, what’s interesting to note is that it is one of the first ideas we’ve seen that combines technology with music in an absolutely non-disruptive manner. It also subtly vibrates every time you snore.

The creator explained how this idea stemmed from his personal sleep troubles and how he always wanted to play music without disturbing his wife. ‘To my surprise, I was able to hear the music, but my wife wasn't,’ Cofounder Warrick Bell said. ‘I knew I was onto something.’

Zeeq made a raise of over $220,000 on Kickstarter with this initiative. The starting price is $149 for the pillow and $199 for the Zeeq activity tracker.
