LeEco launches Le 1s Eco with exciting new services at Rs 10,899
Mumbai: LeEco on Tuesday launched its ecosystem membership program in India along with its "Made for India" Superphone Le 1s Eco, at an event in Mumbai.
The announcement was made in collaboration with Eros Now, YuppTV and Hungama, in the presence of Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez.
LeEco claims to redefine entertainment from ‘ordinary to super’ with its ecosystem membership program. At the event, LeEco announced its Le 1s Eco and a one year membership to its entertainment package, dubbed 'Supertainment’, for just Rs 10,899.
However, for the lucky ones who register and purchase the device during the introductory sale on May 12 will get the smartphone along with one year subscription to the membership package at just Rs 9,999.
During the first flash sale, the company has promised to put up 1,00,000 devices for sale exclusively on Flipkart. The registration process for the upcoming sale began today at 2 pm.
Coming to the salient specifications on this handset, Le 1s Eco is equipped with a powerful Helio X10 MediaTek processor clocked at 1.8 GHz along with 3GB RAM.
The smartphone boasts of a 5.5-inch FHD (403 ppi) screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is decent for viewing multimedia content and gaming.
In terms of image capabilities, the 13MP rear and 5MP front camera with image beautifying function, ensure quality pictures and great video capability. The device also sports a powerful 3000 mAh lithium polymer battery for on the go usage.
Innovative Membership Program launched in India
LeEco India launched its ecosystem-based membership program, which includes content, experience and service at this event.
Besides providing users with rich and high quality content, this innovative membership program also integrated a comprehensive eco-services, like personal cloud services—LeEco Drive, LeMall and aftersales services.
The exclusive Live and Le Vidi under LeEco’s membership could reshape the entertainment industry and change the way users consume entertainment in India.
Users can now carry their favourite TV channels along, enjoying 100+ rich Live channels on their Superphone with ‘Live’ (powered by YuppTV). Live will offer users a slew of viewing options encompassing music, movies, news, and entertainment in approximately 12 languages.
With Le Vidi, users can catch the best of Indian movies now (powered by Eros Now) across 10 languages including English and Hindi. While Live and Le Vidi will be available to all new Le 1s Eco users, existing users can expect an OTA (Over the Air) software upgrade within May.
Furthermore, to ensure faster and seamless distribution of content to its users, LeEco India is establishing its in-house Cloud and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) in 10 cities across India, ensuring the best picture quality and minimum buffering time.
LeEco also announced its partnership with Hungama Music, India’s largest on-demand music destination, as its Music Service.
Besides that, LeEco India will also provide more than 50 live online concerts from around the world, streaming directly to all LeEco users. Music with Hungama services will be online at the third quarter of 2016.
