Microsoft fails to convince more users to try Edge Browser

Windows 10 Anniversary update failed to convince more users to try Edge browser.

Microsoft introduced the Windows 10 Anniversary Update back on August 2. The new release consisted of a varied number of improvements including support for extensions and other beneficial features.

However, it doesn’t seem like users are too impressed with what Microsoft has to offer with its Anniversary update. According to the Net Applications data for September 2016, Microsoft Edge holds a market share of 5.16 per cent – the same as August 2016. In other words, despite the fact that Windows 10 Anniversary update was made available to users from August onward, it didn’t necessarily affect the usage of Microsoft Edge.

At the same time, Google Chrome seems to be increasingly growing. With a market share of 54.41 per cent, it is the number one browser in the market. Internet Explorer follows with 25.48 per cent and Mozilla Firefox comes third with 9.19 per cent market share.
