Google+ now more attractive with added updates
You may or may not be aware of this but Google has its own version of Facebook and it goes by the name of Google+. Described by the Google Senior vice president, Vic Gundotra as the ‘fastest growing network thingy ever,’ it has over 500 million users worldwide. However, in comparison to Facebook and Twitter, Google+ still has some catching up to do.
In the effort to attract users and further improve their website experience, the company started a huge redesign of the entire Google+ platform last year. In addition to dropping numerous features and services from the platform, Google also decided to update the site’s UI with a new look.
Recently, the website received another design makeover. Google+ now looks more vibrant and much easier to operate. Users can also add links and photos inside comments and community owners can limit posts by manually approving each comment/post. Google also revamped the notification center and further integrated other Google apps with the platform.
Will the new update be enough to help Google+ catch up with other social networking giants like Facebook and Twitter? Only time will tell.
