The state-run telecom operator BSNL has officially announced its ‘Unlimited Broadband at Rs 249.’ The latest plan allows its users to avail 10GB of data per day, i.e. 300GB of data per month at a special price of Rs 249.

The latest plan is beneficial to its users not only due to its data offering but also because the plan lets users make unlimited free calls to any/all networks between 9PM to 7AM on all days (additional charges applicable). BSNL appears to have introduced the new plan in order to attract new customers to subscribe to its broadband services.

“BSNL is the only operator who is offering cheapest “10GB per day” data download plan under wire-line Broadband services in the country,” said N.K. Gupta, Director (NFA) BSNL Board. It appears like BSNL’s effort of attracting customers was successful as many users have now started subscribing to its new offer in very little time.
