Flipkart Plus announced, will go against Amazon Prime
To take on the popular Amazon Prime, the Indian e-commerce portal introduced its premium service platform - Flipkart Plus. As told by the company and reported by Telecomtalk, the service will be available to users without any fee and they will get faster delivery of products with the early information about the active sales as an added benefit. Not to forget the rewards which customers will be receiving timely.
With the introduction of this new service, Flipkart intends to increase its reach and along with the aforementioned benefits, it also claims to provide more prompt and active customer support services. In essence, the e-commerce giant is attempting to lessen the gap between partners and customers and with this, it aims to bring a thorough evolution of the online shopping trend.
In a statement, Flipkart stated that the move is the outcome of the company's existence in the business for several years which helped it in deep data analysis and understanding appropriate customer preferences.
Flipkart's closest rival in India - Amazon offers its annual prime membership at Rs 999 which embraces its registered customers with several types of benefits. With the free membership registration scheme, Flipkart seems to be making an attractive deal but does it genuinely provides services competitively and how well the audience accepts it, we have to wait to get these answers till it is adapted on a wider level.
