Google's Gemini Spark Can Now Manage Google Photos Library

The tech giant said that users can now ask Gemini Spark to perform tasks in Google Photos, such as editing pictures, curating albums, turning concert flyers into actual plans, and more

Google announced that its personal agent, Gemini Spark, will now be able to manage users’ Google Photos libraries.

The tech giant said that users can now ask Gemini Spark to perform tasks in Google Photos, such as editing pictures, curating albums, turning concert flyers into actual plans, and more.

Users will be able to ask Gemini Spark to find their vacation photos, remove background crowds, and center them in every shot before adding the photos to a new album. They can also ask Spark to check their calendar for conflicts with that concert flyer and then get the event scheduled.

In a post on X, Google Photos lead Shimrit Ben-Yair said that the Photos capabilities in Spark will roll out over the next few weeks to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US.

The company did not mention a timeline for when the new capabilities will be rolled out globally. In response to a comment asking when the feature would be available in Europe, Ben-Yair said, “We're in the process of rolling out in the US. Will update when we roll out more broadly!”
